Miami-Dade Jail records show that Colombia Football President Ramon Jesurun Franco was arrested early Monday morning after the Copa America final in Miami, according to a report from the Miami New Times.
Jesurun, a vice president of CONMEBOL, was reportedly booked at Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center just after 4 am ET on charges of battery on an official or employee.
ESPN reported that Jesurun, 71, was accused of fighting multiple security guards at one of the stadium's tunnels used for the media at around 12:20 a.m., according to the arrest report.
The police report said the altercation turned physical once the security officer askedJesurun and his son to step back. According to the officer, the duo quickly "became irate" at a guard and began "shouting" at him.

The arrest came hours after the Copa America final, a 1-0 victory for Argentina over Colombia. The match itself was shrouded by pre-game chaos as fans without tickets stormed past the gates at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami. USA Today reported Miami-Dade police made "10-15 arrests" ahead of kickoff.

The elder Jesurun was scheduled to appear in Miami-Dade bond court Monday. Multiple reports added that the son of Jesurun, Ramon Jamil Jesurun, was also arrested on the same charges, but with an additional misdemeanor charge.
